Alizeh Agnihotri's much-anticipated Bollywood debut in the buddy drama 'Farrey' has encountered a sluggish start at the box office. Backed by her uncle, the Bollywood icon Salman Khan, the film managed to create a modest buzz but has failed to translate this into significant box office success.
Despite garnering favorable reviews from critics, the Soumendra Padhi-directed film has faced challenges in gaining traction among audiences. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie's early estimates suggest it earned a meager Rs. 34 lakh on Tuesday, contributing to an overall domestic collection of Rs. 2.93 crore.
On the fifth day, Farrey gathered a box office collection of Rs 30 Lakhs, falling short of the anticipated performance levels.
The current figures indicate a struggle for 'Farrey' to maintain stability at the box office, particularly with the looming arrival of major film releases scheduled for the upcoming Friday. The ensemble cast, featuring actors like Ronit Roy, Zeyn Shaw, Juhi Babbar, Arsh Wahi, and Prasanna Bisht, has yet to translate into substantial box office success for the film.
With the need for a significant box office surge to sustain itself amidst stiff competition from upcoming releases, the future prospects for 'Farrey' remain uncertain in the highly competitive Bollywood landscape.
Farrey 2023 movie hit or flop?
To be deemed a hit, Farrey must surpass the 25 Crore mark, while reaching 20 Crores will categorize it as an average performance.
