Prabhas' magnum opus 'Salaar: Part One- Ceasefire' stormed the Box Office, marking a spectacular debut with a monumental ₹90.7 crore net collection on its opening day. However, the fervor seems to be waning as the film enters its third week.
Industry analysts report that the film's earnings saw a noticeable dip, culminating in a ₹2.24 crore net on its 19th day, marking a declining trend since its blockbuster weekend. Despite a robust domestic gross of ₹467.45 crore and an overseas collection of ₹133 crore, 'Salaar' now stands at a worldwide total of ₹600.45 crore.
Directed by the acclaimed Prashanth Neel and backed by Hombale Films, the movie, initially slated for a September 28 release, eventually hit theatres on December 22, creating a buzz due to its delayed unveiling. Its grandeur was further amplified by the film's budget of ₹270 crore, reflecting in its awe-inspiring 14 massive sets around Ramoji Film City.
However, recent figures indicate a steady decline in daily collections, hovering around ₹2 crore net. Occupancy statistics paint a similar picture, with 15.29 percent in Telugu, 16.40 percent in Tamil, and 9.84 percent in Hindi as of January 9th.
Despite featuring a stellar ensemble cast including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruthi Haasan, and Madhu Guruswamy, 'Salaar' seems to be experiencing a gradual descent from its initial cinematic glory.
Fans await eagerly to see if the movie can revive its momentum or if it will continue its downward trajectory at the Box Office.
